My name is Alessandro Remo Mazzoni, I am an artist and textile designer based in Switzerland. After graduating in textile design at the CSIA (high school for applied arts) in Lugano and in visual arts at the Academy of Brera in Milan, I worked for several years in the textile industry specializing in home furnishing textiles. After having practiced for different studios I decide to start an independent career as a freelancer.
I also have taught textile design and drawing since 2017.
I work at Atelier Zenith, a coworking studio in Mendrisio (Switzerland) with other creative colleagues who work as photographers, web designers and illustrators.

In my spare time I like walking with my dog Nadir, playing the celtic harp and singing.
My philosophy
I work on my own with care, passion and commitments from sketches until the final stage of the model. As an artist I am inclined to realize painted handmade designs which I then develop through computer programs. I like the textile drawing tradition but also believe that technologies can bring infinite new opportunities.

Ciao! Grazie per esserti fermato nel mio shop online!
Mi chiamo Alessandro Remo Mazzoni e sono un artista e disegnatore per tessuti.
Vivo e lavoro in Ticino, nel sud della Svizzera, a un passo da Como e Milano.
Dopo essermi diplomato come disegnatore tessile al CSIA (Centro Scolastico Industrie Artistiche) di Lugano e in arti visive all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera a Milano, ho lavorato per diversi anni nell’industria tessile, specializzandomi nel disegno per tessuti d’arredamento.
Dal 2017 insegno disegno tessile presso il CSIA.
Lavoro all’Atelier Zenith, uno studio di coworking a Mendrisio (Svizzera) con altri colleghi creativi che lavorano come fotografi, web designer e illustratori.

Nel mio tempo libero mi piace passeggiare con il mio cane Nadir, suonare l’arpa celtica e cantare.
La mia filosofia:
Lavoro con cura, passione e impegno dagli schizzi fino alla fase finale del modello. Come artista sono propenso a realizzare disegni dipinti a mano che poi sviluppo attraverso programmi per computer. Mi piace la tradizione del disegno tessile, ma credo anche che le tecnologie possano offrire infinite nuove opportunità.
